Anesthesia management in geriatric patients which were interventional bronchoscopy due to central airway obstruction; retrospective analysis

Aim: In the endobronchial treatment of tumors that cause obstruction in tracheobronchial system; Applications such as cryo-recanalization and argon plasma coagulation (APC) are widely used. Patients presenting with central airway (CAO) require urgent intervention, sharing bronchoscopist, severe shortness breath patients, presence comorbid diseases make it difficult for anesthetists. This situation becomes more complicated due to pharmacokinetic pharmacodynamic changes geriatric patients. this article, is aimed present anesthesia method patients who underwent interventional bronchoscopy obstruction.
 Material Method: The files procedures between January 2021 September were reviewed retrospectively. treatments applied anesthetic protocols recorded.
 Results: Forty-five CAO identified. 74% male. 95.6% American Society Anesthesiologists (ASA) III or ASA IV risk group, which we can refer high group. It was observed rapid short-acting propofol remifentanil used induction maintenance anesthesia, rocuronium muscle relaxant, sugammadex eliminate residual effect relaxant.
 Conclusion: Airway management very complex life-threatening stenosis. requires a comprehensive preoperative evaluation, selection appropriate anesthetics, effective monitoring, especially addition, anesthetist bronchoscopist should be prepared constant communication against complications may develop.
